The Peterbilt Model 378 is a close cousin to the Model 379. Introduced in 1987, the Model 378 was produced through 2007. The main physical differences between the Peterbilt 378 and the Peterbilt 379 are that the Model 378 sits about 4” higher than the 379 and the Peterbilt 378 did not have an option of a long hood.
