A 3 Axle Sleeper Truck has a compartment large enough to lay down and rest. Originally sleepers were not very comfortable, but as long haul trucking grew so did the size of the sleeper cabin. Sleeper Truck compartments were invented when new regulations passed in the late 1950’s obligated drivers to take mandatory rests. Today, 3 Axle Sleeper Truck cabins come in a variety of sizes and often pertain to the type of hauling done by the truck. For drivers who are working harvest or long hours within a short distance from home, they may prefer a 36” – 48” sleeper to take a rest. For truckers who live on the road the majority of their time, sleepers can be over 86” long and resemble an RV.
